Happy Tuesday!

Good morning kids,

How are you today? How are you doing with your homework?

Today in English we’re going to continue dealing with adverts.

Today you’re going to make your own advert in POWER POINT. I’d like you to design a poster for a product you think can be useful for these quarantine times. I’d like you to choose your quarantine star product and create a cool advert that makes us all feel we need it.

Elements to include in your advert:

• Fun name for the product

• Slogan, a question to raise interest

• Make the reader imagine having the product

• Describe the product and say how good the price is

• Use adjectives that encourage the reader to buy

• Use language that persuades and convinces the readers

WATCH THE FOLLOWING VIDEO FOR SOME TIPS:

As for Naturals today we’re going to study CHEMICAL REACTIONS.  You’re going to read p. 84 and 85 and make a mind map.

Watch the following videos to understand better:

COMBUSTION

OXIDATION

FERMENTATION

Then you can do the activities 1-5 from the book as you can see on your timetable.

OH, AND THE CHALLENGE:

Some of you are thanking me for the challenges and are having fun with them. Edu sent me some photos doing exercise, Sebastián showed me how he fixed his old dictionary… and Clara did the meditation last week… She even sent me a beautiful drawing…

And what about today?

CHALLENGE 10: HOW LONG CAN YOU BE SILENT?

(One of your partners challenges to be in complete silence for an hour. Can you do it? Maybe longer? Time yourself being quiet and let’s see who can be in silence longer.)

Here you have some wonderful work from you fellow classmate! I encourage you to follow her lead and take your digital notebooks seriously. Bravo!!

And here are your answers for yesterdays work:

Additionally, here is a lovely drawing that we received from the greek gods assignment 🙂

Mia

Have a lovely rest of your day and keep up the fantastic work 🌷

Best,

Nadia + T

Happy Monday!

Good morning my beautiful creatures…

How was your weekend? I bet you all enjoyed being outside for a while and you saw the world with bright new eyes! I also bet you all took a photo of that historical event… If you like, I invite you to share your photo with your partners through hangout today!

I’m very happy to see how hard you are all working. I know this is a whole new system and it was difficult at the beginning, but now I think you’re all doing great and I congratulate all of you for your efforts.

So,

• First of all, I’m going to share some of your best works from last week

• Secondly, I leave you here your new timetable for the next two weeks

• Next, I leave you here “Un diario de cápsula” This is an excellent resource for these days. It’s in Spanish and you can do it as it it if you like. However, you can just have a look at it and include the parts that you like for your original English diary.

• Finally, remember this is our first week doing the speaking activity. It will consist of a brief interview where you will be asked a few questions related to the topic we’re dealing in English.

Challenge 9: Tell a joke to your partners in English! 👻

Check out some amazing mind maps created by your fellow classmates:

And here is your schedule and capsule diary:

I wish you all continued success!!

Best,

Nadia + T

Happy Friday 🧚🏿

Good morning my beautiful students!

I hope yesterday you enjoyed reading all those beautiful and astonishing Greek myths.

As you saw in your timetable today we’re going to visit the MUSEO DEL PRADO, in Madrid. Since we’re all at home will visit the museum virtually.

As I told you in class, the Greeks are the origin of our culture. That’s why after all this time (4 thousand years) we still remember and learn from them. As a consequence, many artists from all around the world and from many time periods, have always found inspiration in them.

In the MUSEO DEL PRADO you’re going to find a collection of paintings related to Greek myths. Have a look at these fascinating works of art and enjoy.

You are going to CHOOSE YOUR FAVOURITE and REPRODUCE IT YOUR OWN WAY.

Here is the link that you have to follow:

https://www.museodelprado.es/recurso/pintame-un-mito/173bee4a-2995-493f-8875-daa2b506e963

(You can listen to yesterday’s song of “The tale of Brave Ulysses”, by Cream while you do it.)

The challenge of the day will be: you are going to wear a costume at 20:00 👻

Additionally, I leave you here:

• The answers to yesterdays song

• The self-evaluation of the week

Download the self-evaluation and send it to me together with the rest of the work of the week.

On Monday we will send you a new timetable.

Have a wonderful time visiting the museum and reproducing your favourite work of art. Feel free to do it your own way with your own vision and your favourite materials and show the true artist that you all have inside.

Happy Thursday and… Book Day!!

HAPPY BOOK DAY!!!

Every year we celebrate Book Day to demonstrate our love for books and reading. But why today? Why on the 23rd of April?

Visit the library’s blog and find out! There you will also find out interesting stories about the Greeks, which as you remember, are the topic for this years Book Day.

https://labibliotecadelpasamonte.blogspot.com/

Reading provides us multiple benefits:

• It reduces stress and makes us calm

• It fills us with knowledge

• Expands our vocabulary and our imagination (and therefore our mind)

• It improves our memory

• Focuses our concentration

• It improves our reading and writing skills

• It provides us with free and endless entertainment

Can you come up with some other benefits of reading?

Today I’d like you to listen to the song The Tale of Brave Ulysses by Cream and do a fill in the gaps activity as we used to do in class. You can listen to it as many times as you need.

After that, here is a link to a page where you will find lots of beautiful Greek myths so you can read as many as you want.

For homework you will read the ones you want (at least one). You will make a list of the myths you read and you will choose your favourite and explain why you liked it.

I hope you enjoy reading these fascinating stories that after 4.000 years are still considered to be among the greatest stories of all time.

Thank you all and happy book day! Don’t forget to keep sending in all of your lovely drawings!

Happy Wednesday

Good Morning kids,

I hope you’re not finding too many problems studying by yourself.

Today for Socials you will do a couple of activities related to the division of powers, Spanish elections, and Spains coat of arms.

Read carefully and do some research on the web if you can’t find the answers easily.

8832C8CC-1752-4D21-B752-94254F4D7B48.png

As for English, there’s not much work to do! Do the reading on page 78 and a page of the activity book. In class you used to work a lot more, so take your time and do everything the best you can.

For the people who are still doing everything by hand… please, take care to present your very best handwriting and be mindful of your presentation.

Challenge 6: Today you are going to do a meditation.

Click the following link, listen, and follow the instructions. Trying relaxation techniques can be very useful, especially these days which can be quite stressful. You can also do this with somebody in your family.

Happy Tuesday!

Happy Friday!

Good morning kids! Happy Friday!

For today’s work of art we are going to make Greek gods and or goddesses! Attached below I (Tuere—remember mee??) have illustrated for you a few guides on how to draw a character! You all are to come up with the outfit and accessories for your gods and goddesses. I want you all to draw your own character, take a photo, and send it to my email by next Thursday! Please do a thorough job— use your imaginations! I would also like you to type up a short description of your god or goddess that should include their name and their special abilities.

Challenge 4: make a picnic.

At the end of this post I’ve attached the corrections of yesterday’s homework. Since it is Friday I have also attached this week’s self evaluation . Please complete it with the results of your work this week and send it by email attaching all of your work.

For a nice end to the week I am adding Davids mind map! Very professional… you are all working great… I’m very proud of you. Thanks for all your efforts.

Happy Thursday!

Good morning:

How are you doing with your homework? I hope you’re doing fine and that you are not finding it too difficult to do everything by yourselves.

Today your homework is:

·      SOCIALS: Student Book p.46, 47 Read and do mind map

Most of you are pretty good doing mind maps.  However, I recommend you to watch this video in order to help you to do your own mind map.

·      ENGLISH: Activity book p.73, 74

As for today’s challenge…

Challenge 3: take a photo with all your teddies/toys.

Finally, I leave you here the answers of yesterday’s homework as usual.

Good morning kids!

How did you do yesterday with your homework? Any problems? I hope not.

Yesterday I challenged you to fix something at home so you could talk about it in your diary. What did you fix? If you take a photo of your diary explaining it next to the “fixed item” perhaps I could share it here so your partners can see it too. For sure it will be very interesting to see what you do.

Remember that everyday I will challenge you do something. This is not obligatory, they are just ideas you can try for fun or just to find some kind of inspiration so you avoid saying that you do the same everyday as an excuse to avoid writing. In addition, I invite you to send me possible challenges for your partners. This can be very fun.

Challenge 2: phone (not text) someone in the class who you’ve never phoned before.

Ok… now… I will explain today’s Natural’s homework.

Today we are going to start U.5: Matter and energy.

Before you sart doing your homework you can startwatching this video.

Then go to your Student Book p. 77 and answer thequestions on your “digital notebook”..

Now go to p.80  Read and watch the following video:

Now do Ex.1 & 2 and I want you to fin dan exampleheteogeneus mixture and an homogeneous mixture that you find at home, take a photo and add it onyour “digital notebook”.

Last activity. Do the following activity online, take a screenshot and add it on your digital notebook.
