Finally Friday! At last!

As you know, on Fridays we have Arts. Last week I didn´t send you any work to leave you time to do your version of a work of Art from the Prado Museum. I’m still waiting for many people to send it.

Today we will learn about Greek columns. So, first of all, I want you to watch this super short video where a girl your age explains the three main types of Greek columns.

Here is a picture of the three main types of Greek columns.

For today’s Art’s activity you will do your own Greek columns. To do it you will need:

• 3 paper toilet tubes

• A piece of paper

• Black marker

• Scissors

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Paint the three toilet paper tubes with white painting or cover it white paper

2. Draw the three different capitals of Greek columns on a piece of paper and cut them out. (Take in to account the width of the toilet paper tubes: measure before you do them.)

3. Cut a little bit on both sides of the toilet paper tubes so the capitals fit.

4. Fit together your capitals to the toilet paper tubes.

How was your long weekend? Did you relax?

Today we start with a new poem which I hope you enjoy. 

I hope it inspires you and that it helps you start May with energy. 

Today for homework you have to: 

1. SOCIALS: Do p.18 from your Activity Book
2. ENGLISH: Make your video advert. Last week you should have done the writing, so today you just have to do a video for your advert. I’m going to leave a video which may give you some tips. Anyway, I know you are very talented and that you know and like making videos. When you finish, you can share your videos by hangout so your partners can see them as we would have done in class.I hope you come up with funny videos that makes us want to buy your products.

CHALLENGE 13: You will do the laundry by yourself.

Good morning kids,

How are you today? How are you doing with your PET? Are you all doing it? I hope you are! This PET test is for all of you no matter if you are taking KET or PET. This PET test is for all of you ok? So don’t try convincing your parents this isn’t for you!!

Today you can finish the test and then you can check your answers that I will leave right here.

For Naturals you are going to watch a video and do page 28 from your activity book.

Tomorrow is a national holiday and we’re celebrating the Workers Day. So no working tomorrow, ok?

In your timetable I had an Art activity about Greek columns, but since you are behind with your Art’s activities I think we can leave it for next week. I hope giving you more time to finish makes you catch up so I can finally receive all your works of Art inspired by Greek mythology.

Today in Socials you’re going to do pages 16 & 17 from your activity book and I hope you find it easy. Take your time and do your best.

As for English today you’re going to do another PET test. It’s long and you also have tomorrow to do it. So today you can do one half, and leave the rest for tomorrow, ok?

In addition, I leave you here the answers to yesterday’s Naturals homework so you can correct yourself. Please check in red so I can truly see you are revising it. Some of you are doing great marking everything with ticks and crosses as we usually did in class, but others aren’t and that is often the sign of not correcting homework. Please do it.
